PINEAPPLE
Pineapple Plant - 'Elite Gold' - Ananas Comosus
This popular pineapple makes for a wonderful addition to any tropical landscape. Brightly colored gold skin and flesh, this variety makes for great eating. Waxy, strap-like leaves are not serated in this variety. Prized for it's low acidity combined with high sugar content, Elite Gold is one of the leading commercially grown varieties worldwide.

Cultivation
Does best in a well-drained, sandy loam type soil. Warm temperture is essential, but can be a potted houseplant in colder climates. Requires high Nitrogen and Magnesium.
